This post is actually about how I can not stand Christina Aguilera anymore. She is such a trendfollower, when she has this huge chance to be a trendsetter, and its soo annoying. First she followed the whole ‘Old Hollywood’ thing when Dita von Teese was really being talked about and all the actresses were wearing red lipstick, and now she has completely ripped off Lady GaGa and playing dumb (while also being extremely rude). Ugh. I’d rather you be “dirrty” again, Christina. Perez is right on this issue.
And you know what? I hope Britney makes a comeback soon so she can come back to claim her spot that Xtina filled while she was crazy! We allll know who was the most popular back in the day. “Hit Me Baby One More Time” completely outshines “Genie in a Bottle.”
So since stepping out of Britney’s shadows, Christina has climbed the charts with redoing an Anderson Sisters song, the Bugle Boy one, and now she is making it all techno-dancey because people like Lady GaGa are climbing out of indie obscurity.
The blunt, bleach blonde hair, bold makeup, and now references to pop-art music? Way to be a follower.

The golden children Lochte and Liukin were at some fashion show together, so the question is what’s going on there? It better be nothing, Nastia! It better be nothing.
Though if this was true, I would say 1) Awkward couple! 2) I think Nastia looks really pretty there and 3)though I would hate her for all of eternity, I think Lochte would have made a good choice.

Gossip Girl is so shallow, but I just love it. So I watched tonight, and I must say that Chuck broke my heart! Did you see his face when he saw the pin. UGH! I wanted him to say “I love you” SO BAD! And then I was like… NO BLAIR NOOOO! Don’t go with your British guy! Definitely my favorite part of the show, plot-wise. I love to see the soft side of the bad boy. But besides that, Nate really annoys me with his whole affair with older woman thing. He just annoys me in general. And I also can’t decide if I like Serena and Dan together or not. When they’re together, I hate it, but when they break up… I want them back together.
As for the fashion (my favorite part!), nothing particularly struck me. Blair’s white dress was cute… and that one where her and Serena ran into Chuck and Nate (as was her hair), but I much prefer fall fashion. Jenny’s homemade dress was ok,too, but Jenny annoys me so I really can’t enjoy any aspect there.
I really want to buy a pair of ankle boots this year since I have been missing out on them for a while. I wanted them last year but nooo. And doesn’t that sweater look so warm and comfy? I wish the weather was cool out! The weather sucks!
But for those of us with smaller budgets, we go to Old Navy sales. Yesterday I bought a pair of dark wash jeans, a medium wash jean (both bootcut and the sweetheart rise), a boatneck navy and tan striped shirt, a tan cardgan, and gold gladiators. So I’m a happy girl. Speaking of gladiators, I want pair of those black and white ones Rihanna wore the other day. Everyone thought they were ugly, but I loved ‘em.
